COACHING STANDART

Controlled supervision & structured progression

Level I — Early Foundations (Ages 3–4)

30minute sessions focused on movement literacy, balance initiation, and adaptation to structured training.

Level II — Pre-Technical Formation (Ages 5–6)

40-45 minutes sessions focused on coordination refinement, foundational ukemi mechanics, and preparation for technical progression.

Academic Objective

The primary objective of the JUDO KIDS stage is to establish a disciplined foundation of physical literacy and behavioral structure.

Athletes develop balance, coordination, and body awareness while learning to operate within a controlled training system.

This stage is not competition-focused. It is development-focused — preparing the child for technical progression in later stages of the JUDOKAN long-term model.

Curriculum Architecture

Movement literacy: running, jumping, crawling, directional transitions

Foundational ukemi: safe falling mechanics and body protection

Balance and posture control under guided tasks

Coordination sequencing: rhythm, reaction, spatial awareness

Instruction discipline: start/stop commands and structured attention blocks

Dojo etiquette: respect, order, listening structure, correct behavior standards

Training blocks are structured in progressive cycles to ensure adaptation without overload.

Evaluation & Advancement Criteria

Coordination stability and balance development
Safe ukemi fundamentals appropriate to age
Ability to follow structured instruction
Behavioral discipline within the dojo environment
Consistency of participation and focus
Readiness for transition into the JUDO DEVELOPMENT stage (7–9)
Progress is monitored continuously by coaching staff

Stage Outcome

Upon completion of this stage, athletes demonstrate improved coordination, structured behavior, and the foundational discipline required for technical development.

The child exits the program with the physical and behavioral readiness to enter the next formation stage within the JUDOKAN Development Model.
